Regional Mexican (18-54) is a radio format typically defined by Banda, Norteña, Duranguense and Ranchera music. Regional Mexican appeals to the north Mexican population, the fastest growing Hispanic population in the country. It is the #1 Hispanic format.

Tropical music (25-54) is a broad term for vocal and instrumental music with "tropical" flavor usually associated with the Afro-Caribbean music. Popular with Hispanics of Caribbean descent.

Latin Rhythmic (18-34) is a format that was made popular by the Reggaeton movement. With time the genre has changed and all those stations that would call themselves “Reggaeton” became “Urban” and the musical play list also opened up to accept more of the Spanish Hip Hop sounds.

Spanish Contemporary (25-54) is often called Latin Pop. It has a list of contemporary hits that are separate and distinct from the above mentioned formats.

Spanish Hits (18-44) A hit driven format that encompasses most of the other forms of Spanish music, with the exception of Mexican regional. This format can include ballads, Spanish rock, tropical and rhythmic.

Romántico (25-54) is a format dedicated to Ballads and Boleros. It is basically composed by mostly the big hit recurrent and classic ballads including instrumental love songs.

Oldies (35-64) The biggest hits from 60’s through the 80’s – this format, depending on market, can include Mexican regional.
